This position plays a vital role in providing support services, including meal preparation and domestic tasks, to contribute to the overall well-being and comfort of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:Food Preparation:Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes according to established recipes and guidelines for Yarrawonga Health patients/residentsEnsure food items are properly stored, labeled, and rotated to maintain freshness. Service and Presentation:Plate and present dishes in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
Assist with the serving of meals to patients/residents. Customer Interaction:Provide friendly and efficient service to patients/residents, addressing their needs and ensuring a positive experience. Answer questions regarding menu items and special dietary requirements.
Cleaning and Sanitation:Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste. Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards to ensure a safe dining environment. Stock Management:Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies.
Assist in placing orders and restocking items as needed. Collaboration:Work closely with all Yarrawonga Health staff and management to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and fulfill customer requests.
Key Selection Criteria:Must be able to work all shifts, weekly, afternoon and weekends including public holidaysComputer skills at a basic level;Understanding of confidentiality;Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisation skills;Ability to work with a wide variety of people;Self-motivated with a high level of communication and organisational skills demonstrated ability to work alone.
