ABOUT THE ROLE
The Essendon Private Clinic in Essendon West requires experienced people with hospital-based catering experience to join our team. Qualifications in Food Handling essential.
We are seeking a Food Services Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. The right candidate will be adaptable, multi-skilled, reliable staff member who is dedicated to excellence and delivering work of a high quality, consistently.
The ability to work within a team, communicate effectively and perform their duties to the highest standards is required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meal Service to patients
- Daily food preparation and meal assembly
- Maintaining a clean and tidy environment for all food service-related areas of the hospital, setting of dining room
- Cleaning duties, including fridges and preparation areas, kitchen area, dish wash area
- Clean and maintain utensils and kitchen equipment in accordance with hospital & industry food safety and hygiene standards.
- General cleaning and sanitising of all areas of food preparation areas.
- Waste management
- Monitoring and recording of all relevant food safety data.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS: - Prior experience in Healthcare Food Services 1/3 years
- Food Handling Certificate
- Basic Food Handling Certificate Essential
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Ability to work autonomously, without supervision, as well as a part of a team
- Demonstrate a great work ethic and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills
- Effective communication skills
- Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service
- Respectful and work well with others to achieve goals.
- Act with integrity and show care for the people you work with
- Embrace change and seek ways to improve service.
- Motivated by personal growth and accountability.
- Flexible to work a variety of shifts - early/late shifts & weekend work.
- Covid-19 Proof of Vaccination Certificate is Essential
- Current National Police Clearance Certificate or willing to apply for one
