Fooring Carpener

NH TIMBER FLOORING INSTALLATION PTY LTD is a professional team of Timber Flooring experts. Our work includes, but is not limited to, the installation of Engineered timber, Laminate, bamboo, vinyl, prefinished flooring, hybrid flooring, as well as skirting boards, scotia, and staircases installed to highest standard. We are a team of experts in the flooring trade who take pride in their work.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Flooring Carpenter.

Qualifications & experience

· Certificate 3 in carpentry

· 2 years' experience as a carpenter

· Police clearance

· White card

· Reliable work references

Tasks & responsibilities

· Timber Floor installation

· Skirting board installation

· Accurate measuring

· Slab levelling

· Staircase installation

· Cutting/making custom joints

· concrete levelling

· formwork for concrete/staircase

· MDF Stringboard installations

· underlay installation

· moisture barrier installation

· removal/demolition of existing floor coverings

· moisture testing

· site and slab preparation

· repairing existing subfloors, screeding subfloors

· erecting framework on walls for wall cladding and other custom timber work

· doorframe and door adjustments/plaining/installations

· ability to calculate floor coverings m2 and provide accurate measurements

· ordering and selecting timbers and materials and preparing layouts

· ability to identify and know how to work with various flooring materials

· ability to use various construction tools for specific flooring

· ability to work on hands and knees to install floor coverings

· ability to competently perform job safety environmental analysis (JSEA)

· basic English and maths skills

· customer relations skills

· ability to meet strict deadlines

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• 10 hours shift

Licence/Certification:

• White Card (Preferred)
• Drivers licence (Preferred)

Work Location: On the road

• 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role
• Work visa can be provided for this role
• Expected salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year
