This is a fixed term, full time vacancy available for 13 months with the possibility of extension, or permanency, subject to business requirements

Currently, there is one (1) fixed term contract available for immediate filling.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Clinical Nurse at Broome Regional Prison, you will be responsible for the delivery of health services within the prison, maintaining clinical standards, and ensuring quality of care. You will work as part of a team to provide a safe and healthy environment for offenders in our care.

Broome Regional Prison is looking to employ a Clinical Nurse in a Full time capacity on a fixed term contract.

All Nursing staff employed at the Department of Justice are required to practice in accordance with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council (ANMC) national Competency Guidelines.

ABOUT YOU

You must:

  • Be eligible for registration in the category of registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA)
  • Have demonstrated advance clinical knowledge and experience relevant to a primary care practice setting
  • Demonstrated high level communication skills
  • Have the ability to plan and conduct patient/staff education
  • Demonstrate incorporation of quality and risk management within your practice
  • Have current knowledge of legislative obligations for Equal opportunities, Disability services and Occupational Health and safety and how these impact on employment and service delivery.

  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and experience in the delivery of evidence based nursing care relevant to primary care practice setting.
