Our client is searching for a creative Footwear Design candidate who will play a pivotal role in shaping their footwear collections across all genders and ages.
You will be responsible for delivering market-leading, innovative designs aligning with their customer profile.
The company offer hybrid working arrangements however as this is a creative, product-facing role there will be times when 5 days in the office maybe required. Their office boasts onsite parking and is close to public transport links including a train station (2 min walk from the office)
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop footwear that fits the range plan and in time within the critical path.
- Build colour palettes, source and develop footwear components, and direct print concepts for development.
- Develop and create illustrations and technical drawings (Illustrator based) to a high quality and technical level
- Create colour CADS
- Create technical specs for all styles that will be passed to factories
- Provide ideas to discussions regarding the tone and visual language, Press / Marketing/ambassadors, and support ideas for these external relationships/projects to fuel ideas back to product and design.
- Support buying team to react to in-season trade
- Present concept boards and colour palettes with key silhouettes
- Take full responsibility for department KPI performance and positively contribute to a cohesive team environment
- Experience in a fast-paced footwear design role.
- Solid understanding of footwear construction and applications
- Have a strong understanding of materials and other processes to sustain a high level of quality
- Proactive & Highly Organised
- Eye for detail and fashion forward
- Computer literacy in Computer literacy in InDesign, Illustrator, CAD and PowerPoint
- Computer literacy in desktop products, including Microsoft Office (Outlook and Word)
