The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating landscaping projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. The Foreman/Leading Hand will also provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate landscaping projects from start to finish, including site preparation, planting, irrigation, and hardscaping.
- Ensure that work is completed according to project specifications, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
- Lead a team of landscapers, providing direction, guidance, and support as needed.
- Training new team members on proper techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns or issues.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked by team members.
- Assist with the procurement of materials and equipment as needed.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and professionalism among team members.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in landscaping or a related field, with at least 1 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret landscaping plans and blueprints.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in operating landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and excavation machinery.
- Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, and/or landscaping-related qualifications is desirable but not required.
