Our client is looking for you to return to the events space or come on board as a first timer. Some shows will begin in the evenings when they bump out, but most will begin in the mornings when they bump in.
As a high-volume forklift driver, you will be responsible for unloading and loading trucks, as well as delivering freight to stands within exhibition halls. The spotter will assist you in navigating the congested and busy halls in a safe and timely manner.
As a Labourer/ Spotter, you will be loading or unloading boxes onto pallets as well as other adhoc duties as well as assisting the Forklift Drivers to navigate the congested and busy halls. Afternoon shifts are available starting at 3:30pm.
Once you have completed the standard safety induction, you will be responsible for providing our clients with a high standard of safety and care.
In order to succeed in this dynamic industry, you should possess the following characteristics:
- Ability to work anonymously and in a team environment
- Ability to lift 10 kilograms from the floor to waist level
- Positive attitude and motivation
- Must hold a forklift license with 12+ months experience within the freight/exhibition industries
- Be available on some weekends
This role is casual and ad-hoc. It can suit your lifestyle with 2-4 shifts per week paying industry award rates (the Exhibition industry award has a flat pay rate of $35).
Start times will be mainly 7am with some flexibility required for 3pm bump outs and some weekends. As you work maybe at Sydney International Convention and Exhibition Centre or the Sydney Show Grounds so you have easy access to transportation.
