Form of workNine Mile Fresh is a well established, privately owned apple packing facility located in Tynong, Victoria. We are looking for a competent, reliable Forklift Operator to work in a number of different circumstances in multiple areas on site. Applicants will be competent in the use of electric and gas powered forklifts up to 2.5 ton capacity and be confident to lift loads up to 6.5m high.
The successful applicant should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Hold a current LF forklift license.
- Be reliable.
- Willing to follow procedures and learn new technology.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, being alert and efficient at all times.
- Ability to work extra hours if and when needed as well as seasonal week end work.
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Loading and unloading trucks on both side and rear load.
- Loading and unloading of cool rooms.
- This will require working in a temperature environment down to 0 degrees.
- Moving product from cool rooms to and from the production lines.
- RF scanning of all produce moved.
- Cleaning and pack up tasks when required.
This is a permanent full-time position.
