As a crucial member of our operations, you'll play a key role in loading vehicles, maintaining stock control, and supporting the diverse work scopes of our facility.
Primary Purpose: Your primary purpose as a Yard Hand / Forklift Operator is to be the driving force behind efficient operations. From loading and unloading to maintaining stock control, your role is central to our success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Yard Management: Ensure compliance with all yard procedures, coordinating trucks, cranes, and other equipment seamlessly through the facility.
- Marine Logistics: Monitor and document containers going on and off marine vessels with precision.
- Equipment Mastery: Demonstrate expertise in the correct operation and use of yard/warehouse equipment, including forklifts, hand trolleys, pallet jacks, scales, air compressors, and more.
- Specialized Tasks: Handle the stuffing and de-stuffing of offshore containers, loading and unloading of drill pipe and casing.
- Maintenance Expertise: Conduct inspections and maintenance of containers, slings, lifting equipment, and ensure the efficient operation of the site's plant and equipment.
- Safety First: Uphold HSE policies and procedures, performing daily "pre-start" checks on all plant and equipment.
- Documentation Accuracy: Tally and reconcile materials against consignment notes, manifests, packing lists, stock count sheets, ensuring accurate and timely completion of transport and logistics paperwork.
- Supervisory Skills: Utilize your minimum 2 years of supervisory experience or relevant supply base experience to lead and guide the team effectively.
- High Risk Forklift Ticket
- Ability to work autonomously with a proactive approach to task resolution
- Holder of a current MSIC clearance or ability to obtain
- Familiarity with products and equipment common to the construction industry, oil and gas drilling campaigns, and the broader logistics industry
- Understanding of current Load Restraint standards and requirements
- Manual Driver's License
