About the Opportunity
The Forward Planning Team is a key capability area within the Planning department. The core purpose of the Team is to provide world class planning services and support to ASC and broader Submarine Enterprise. The Planning Team also manages external stakeholder relationships in support of Maintenance Activity work package generation, execution and coordination and associated technical information to the wider CCSM Enterprise.
Responsibilities
The Forward Planning Team Lead is a leadership position within Planning. This position is responsible for leading the Forward Planning team (FCD or In-Service) in the safe, efficient and effective planning of maintenance activity work packages.
Central to this role is the ability to coach and mentor team members, engage with stakeholders across the business and provide direct support to allocated maintenance activities in order to deliver performance outcomes and continuous improvements in line with business commitments, objectives, plans, processes and routines.
This role is responsible for work package Maintenance Activity (MA) generation and management, integration of non-standard maintenance and upgrades, integration of Registered Maintenance Item requirements, validation of data alignment between SIMS and Control, monitoring of Planning end-to-end milestones, and coordination of Planning team shared services.
About you
- Demonstrated competence and experience with work order & MCR generation, coordination and work pack closeout processes within a project-planning environment.
- Demonstrated extensive corporate data base and ERP system knowledge and skills utilised to interrogate corporate tools and data bases in support of work package generation, execution and closeout.
- Strong communication and influencing skills - written, verbal and interpersonal and across multiple levels.
- High level problem solving and decision making skills.
- Exposure to business process improvement and update methodologies.
- Ability to influence and lead change in a team environment across multiple locations.
- Ability to set priorities and achieve deadlines within a fast paced environment.

Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
