Freight and Logistics Expert (Marine)

What you’ll love about the opportunity:

Reporting to the Head of Marine Portfolio and assisting the insurance team, you will be the technical specialist our cargo and carrier customers and industry representatives know and go to for safety support and guidance. 

You will be focused on establishing and maintaining relationships with our customers by gaining a structured, strong understanding of their safety controls and business needs to co-develop and deliver best practice risk management solutions for them.  You will be responsible for seeking out these needs in detail and delivering new initiatives which assist in fostering resilience, safety and growth. You will support our customers to become market leaders in their safety and risk management practices, enabling them to be the best of the best in their chosen fields. The role will give you the opportunity to think outside the box to determine solutions that exceed expectations. 

What we’ll love about you:

You will have an outstanding ability to build credibility and develop strong relationships with customers and stakeholders in both blue and white collar environments. You will have excellent writing skills to develop comprehensive and compelling reports that influence and educate your audience. You will love being the expert in your field and have a desire to share your knowledge to further educate our customers and internal teams. In addition, you will have:

• Tertiary qualification in risk, logistics, engineering, business, commerce, MBA or relevant discipline (desired)
• Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in cargo/logistics/cold chain/project cargo risk exposures, preventative maintenance & risk controls and site management 
• Demonstrated experience in risk assessment and improvement including tools and content
• Experience producing customer collateral, reports and publications for external use
