About Us:
We have 39 hotel rooms, a day spa, restaurant, bar, wedding and event venue & a beautiful chapel. We are not your normal conservative, uppity hotel. We are retro-cool, quirky and crazy, fun and vibey.
The job is fast paced, fun and never the same in any given day!
The Role
You will oversee the complete management of all sales across the organisation including wedding and events . This role involves ensuring that sales targets and department key performance indicators are met along with an amazing customer experince. You will work as part of a high-performing team that delivers and executes events to a high standard in a fast-paced environment.
Does this sound like you?
We would preffer you to have the following:
* At least 1+ years’ experience in a similar role in events or hospitality
* Strong sales experience and capability to on sell and up sell the venue. This does not have to be in the wedding industry but is preferred.
* Outstanding time management and strong multi-tasking skills
* Strong client, customer liaison and relationship building skills
* Be able to form part of a team and communicate effectively
* Innovative approach to new ideas and operations.
* Ability to think outside the box
Responsibilities include:
* Completing sales appointments, enquiries, proposals, meet and greets and follow-up of all client interactions to ensure enquires are converted to sales
* Conduct wedding / event inspections
* Evaluating and costing function and event enquiries
* Collaborate with clients to create customised event proposals and contracts.
* Acquiring new business along with maintaining and growing a portfolio of existing clients for in-house weddings and events
* Manage the Event Sales pipeline, track leads, and report on sales activities.
* Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
