AddressSRT Logistics are seeking an experienced Freight Clerk to join our Launceston team this position is full time. An opportunity for an outstanding individual with high level computer and communication skills.
About the Role: As a Freight Clerk (Transport Administration) at SRT Logistics, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods throughout our supply chain network. Your exceptional organizational and communication skills will be utilised to manage various administrative tasks and support our team in delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Process and manage incoming and outgoing freight, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain and update shipment records, tracking information, and related documentation.
- Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and other stakeholders to schedule deliveries and pickups.
- Handle customer inquiries and provide timely updates on freight statuses..
- Assist in resolving any logistical challenges and provide proactive solutions.
- Uphold strict safety standards and adhere to transportation regulations.
Requirements:
- High school certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in a similar administrative or freight-related role preferred.
- Familiarity with logistics software and tracking systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Office 365, spreadsheet management).
- Knowledge of freight forwarding procedures and regulations.
- A team player with a customer-focused approach.
