Freight Operations Clerk

AIRWAY are looking for a Freight Operations Clerk to join our small team of 10 at our Cairns office/warehouse. 

We have a welcoming, collaborative team and will provide full training to the successful candidate.

THE ROLE 

Our team works on a rotating roster and so regular weekend work will be required. This is a full-time position with standard hours of 37.5 hours per week. 

Basic responsibilities of the position include:

• Manual loading and unloading of cargo on a regular basis 
• Organise international airfreight movements including but not limited to: liaising with customers, preparing documentation, updating & tracking systems 
• Forklift operations 
• General warehouse duties such as equipment maintenance 
• Participate in training & cross-training 
• Adhere to OHS requirements at all times

ABOUT YOU

What are we looking for? 

• Experience in airFreight Operations / logistics operations position 
• Experience operating a forklift and confident in stacking heavy loads 
• Current forklift licence 
• Current Australian Driver's Licence & own transport 
• Reliable and punctual
• Available to work weekends and follow a dynamic schedule 
• A reasonable level of physical fitness for manual lifting requirements 
• Safety focused
