We have an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Company Account to join our friendly team based in Inner North Brisbane, Queensland. In this key role, you will be responsible for whole of business Accounting, Finance, Compliance and Inventory Systems.
This role will be approximately 24 hours a week, averaged over each month working in a small friendly office team.
More specifically, some of your key responsibilities will include:
- AR, AP, GL, Bank Recs, Payroll
- End Of Month Process including stock reconciliation,
- Debt Management (Asset, Credit Cards, Trade Finance, etc)
- Inventory level management across multiple locations
- Asset tracking and depreciation
- Multi-currency, dealing with related oversea party
- Developing and analysing insightful reporting
- Monthly Business Activity Statement preparation and filing
- Budget development and tracking
- Liaising with external accountants
Also of use:
- Work with the team who are doing orders, invoices, quotes, stock takes
- Flexible, willing to do all tasks needed
- Strong IT skills: Microsoft suite especially excel
- Cloud Applications eg Xero and DEAR Inventory or similar
- Understanding of workers compensation, insurance, New Zealand companies
About You
Happy to work in a Small-Medium Business. Ideally, the right candidate would have
- 5+ years experience;
- formal accounting qualification, or equivalent experience;
- worked in an SME business ($2-20m pa)
- inventory management experience;
- a blend of large and small organisation experience.
- friendly, hard working, organised.
You will also have knowledge of “whole of business” accounting and to be able to assist with tax and other compliance transactions.
