Job Title: Front-of-House (FoH) Staff (Pathway to Supervisor)

Location: Lagom, Shop 26/30 Hibberson Street, Gungahlin

Job Type: Full-Time

Overview: Lagom is excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated Front-of-House Staff member to join our team with a clear Pathway to becoming a FoH Supervisor. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the café industry, eager to learn, and aspiring to take on a leadership role in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service as the initial point of contact for guests.
  • Assist in daily café operations to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Learn and master various aspects of the café's front-of-house operations.
  • Engage in training and development opportunities, preparing for a supervisory role.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and management staff to maintain service standards.
  • Handle customer inquiries and contribute to resolving any service issues.
  • Participate in maintaining cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Support inventory management by reporting needs and assisting with orders.

Pathway to Supervisor:

  • Upon demonstrating skill, commitment, and leadership potential, you will be trained and developed for a supervisory role.
  • Learn staff management and scheduling, along with advanced customer service techniques.
  • Gain experience in café management tasks, such as financial reporting and strategy development.

Requirements:

  • Passion for the café industry and customer service.
  • Experience of Barista or solid coffee-making skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the café environment.
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Previous experience in a café or restaurant setting is advantageous but not essential.
