About the Opportunity
The Portland Arts Centre presents live events covering music, comedy, drama, circus and more. These events include our professional touring program of approximately 25 shows each year, as well as commercial and community hires.
We are looking for friendly, professional and customer-focused Front of House staff to ensure that our patrons have an incredible experience every time they visit. Our Front of House staff work varied roles at each event including box office sales, hospitality, ushering, and assisting visiting artists or venue hirers as required.
As events occur on an irregular basis, the role is best suited to people looking to for additional sessional work in arts and entertainment.

To join the team, you will need enthusiasm for live events, and exceptional customer service skills – including confident cash handling and a pleasant phone manner.
Live events create a fast paced and changeable work environment, so we’re looking for people who are highly adaptable and thrive on that energy to deliver great shows every time.
All applicants must be comfortable with conducting sales, including the basic computer skills required to operate ticketing software (system specific training will be provided to the successful applicants).
