About the role
We are currently recruiting for Part Time & Casual Porters, Guest Service Officers and Night Auditors to join our Front Office team.
As an energizing and confident Porter, Guest Service Officer or Night Auditor, you will join our creative and diverse Front Office Team, connecting with people and making things happen at Hyatt Regency Brisbane. A good understanding of multi-tasking and caring for our guests will ensure your day is full of exciting challenges and is never dull.
This varied and dynamic role provides a chance to develop your professional hospitality career within an international company.
Your Porter role will include:
- Valet parking of guest cars
- Delivery of luggage to guest rooms
- Assisting with guest enquiries eg directions, recommendations
- Handling guest feedback and resolving any complaints
- You will require a Manual Drivers License for this role
Your Guest Service Officer role will include:
- Check-in and check-out of guests
- Cashiering
- Answering incoming calls to the hotel
- Coordinating and programming wake up calls
- Assisting guests with general guest enquiries
- Arrival report updating and room allocation
- Handling guest feedback and resolving any complaints
Your Night Auditor role will include:
- Ensuring all aspects of hotel accounting are processed correctly and accurately recorded, protecting the brand and asset against liability and fraud
- Audit, balance, post and report on front desk, rooms, and food and beverage transactions
- Ensure hotel occupancy is maximised and that all guest accounts are checked in correctly
- Run the night audit final, after ensuring all transactions are accurate
- Attend to guest needs at the front desk, provide management presence
- Prepare limited menu items for guest food and beverage orders are needed
- Ability to work overnight shift 11pm - 7am
Requirements for all roles:
- High level of grooming and personal presentation
- High level of both written and verbal communication
- Flexibility to work a variety of shift s including early mornings, late nights, weekends and public holidays
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Previous experience with Opera is advantageous
