Are you a skilled Front Office Receptionist looking for an exciting opportunity? Bayswater Hotel is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Front Office team in a casual or full time capacity.

Currently under renovation, the venue is still running 29 out of its 48 rooms, at very high occupancy. 

The Baysie finds a balance between being a family friendly venue and the local pub that’s always been there. It will have spacious outdoor areas and plenty of separation between quiet corners, bars and playgrounds, the venue will cater for the needs of every type of customer, no matter the reason for coming to the pub.

Bayswater is a growing and changing pocket of Perth. New families, young professionals and empty nesters in the area are excited to spend time locally, without needing to get in the car or head to the city. The community are meeting each other, forming relationships and making memories, and The Baysie is the perfect hub for all of these experiences.

We welcome the whole of Bayswater - creating a new and inviting space for all to dine and unwind as well as holding space for those who want to enjoy a pint and the footy in peace. We are the hub of this community.

Responsibilities:

• Warmly greeting guests and assisting with check-in and check-out procedures.
• Managing reservations, including modifications and cancellations, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Allocating rooms to guests based on preferences and availability.
• Handling payment transactions, including credit card processing and cash management.
• Providing guests with information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
• Managing phone calls, emails, and messages promptly and professionally.
• Resolving guest concerns and special requests promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintaining security protocols and assisting in emergencies.
• Updating guest records and completing necessary paperwork accurately.
• Collaborating with other departments to coordinate guest services effectively.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in Front Office operations, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Excellent organisational, time management, and computer literacy skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to providing exceptional guest service.
• Neat and professional personal presentation.
• Proficiency in cash handling procedures.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Experience with roomMaster software is advantageous but not essential.
