The successful applicant will work closely and assist the Fruit & Veg Manager where they will be given the opportunity to treat the department as if it was their own. They will have the flexibility to modify the store's service and product line to suit the specific needs of the customers within the local area.
Working as a part of an enthusiastic team, in a highly competitive supermarket environment, applicants will be expected to demonstrate:
- Fresh food retail knowledge
- Experience in supervising team members (preferred, however not essential)
- An understanding of ordering, cost control expertise and gross profit
- Accurate staff rostering will be an advantage
- Passion and enthusiasm, with a very "hands on" approach
- Unparalleled commitment to customer service
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to liaise with both staff and management
