Refuel Australia is a respected distributor of quality Ampol fuels and lubricants throughout the Pilbara, Midwest, Goldfields, Gascoyne and Murchison areas of Western Australia and the Northern Territory from Darwin to Alice Springs.

At Refuel Australia our people are the greatest contributors to our success. We are currently offering an opportunity for a Fuel Tanker Driver to join us in Kalgoorlie.
About the role:
Reporting to the Depot Manager, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of fuel throughout the Goldfields.
Key responsibilities:
• Drivers are required to safely load, transport and unload bulk petroleum products at retail, mining and commercial sites.
• Drive multi vehicles, including single, b-double and road-train combinations including triples.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times, in all work areas, within Refuel Australia sites, customer sites and on the road.
• Ensure complete familiarity with Refuel Australia Drivers Handbook and undertake all transport expectations, hazard management, vehicle operations, loading and deliveries in line with all company procedures.
• Complete prestart checks and report maintenance issues.
• Report any incidents or near misses in line with Refuel Australia incident reporting procedure.
• Undertake fuel deliveries in a safe manner to sites and all customers in line with communication and direction from Fuel Scheduler or Depot Manager.
• Develop, grow and maintain good relationships with customers and ensure Refuel Australia customers receive a professional delivery experience at all times.
• Use handheld electronic system provided to complete all required administrative tasks associated with deliveries.
• Assist with daily depot operations including lube deliveries, stock handling and maintenance, Depot HSE compliance and customer service as required.
Relevant qualifications:
MC drivers licence
Current DG licence
Minimum two years MC driving experience with Fuel Tanker driving and delivery experience
Excellent driving history
Safe Load Pass desirable
Current forklift licence
Darwin Port Pass and MSIC desirable
Fatigue management training
National Police Clearance
Essential skills:
• Skilled and competent driver experience in the safe delivery of Dangerous Goods.
• Basic mechanical skills on the operation of a heavy vehicle.
• Skilled and competent driver dedicated to achieving the highest level of safety and risk reduction with a history of safe work practices, understanding hazard identification and risk assessment process.
• Good knowledge of heavy vehicle mass management, fatigue management (BFM), dangerous goods and road transport rules and regulations, load restraint, and chain of responsibility (CoR).
• Good knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation, policies and associated operation of heavy vehicle
• Strong customer service focus, positive attitude, good communication skills, work ethic and respect for colleagues.
• Strong commitment to managing fatigue.
• Knowledge of basic manual handling procedures.
• Must frequently be able to lift up to 25kg.
• Ability to drive long distances and travel regularly.
• Good numeracy skills.
Hours vary as required by customer operational demands and may require overnight trips and weekend work.
