You will be working with a diverse and dynamic team within Health System Support Group (HSSG) and based at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards, NSW 2065. HSSG is a unit of the Public Health System Support Division of the Health Administration Corporation to provide services to support the public health system in implementing Government targets and programs.For more information go toAbout the Role
The Full Stack Developer is involved in the development of the below solutions as well as any other initiatives or ad-hoc tasks that become the responsibility of the State ODS Program Team within the Ministry of Health. Applications include:

  • Dynamic Statewide Ambulance Matrix
  • Electronic Recommendation for Admission (eRFA) Portal
  • Elective Surgery Demand and Capacity Dashboard
  • Patient Flow Portal
  • Patient Flow Dashboard
  • Community Care Modules
  • Clinician Billing Portal
  • Revenue Portal
  • All other State ODS Program initiatives as commissioned by NSW Health
These applications consume large amounts of real-time data from numerous source systems used by over 25,000 staff from the Local Health Districts, Ministry of Health, Ambulance NSW, Health Share, eHealth, the Pillars and interstate jurisdictions (ACT Health and Network with Victoria).The Full Stack Developer will be highly proficient in Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL development best practices, database design and development, database performance optimisation, PowerBI and .Net solutions.Key Accountabilities
  • Design and Develop solutions with cutting-edge Cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS, AHDS, PowerApp, MLOps etc.).
  • Develop and Operate Enterprise system with Azure DevOps.
  • Integrate with the external interfaces/system (e.g., FHIR API, ESB, Azure Event Hub etc.).
  • Develop and maintain in scope applications using .Net, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Angular framework.
  • Develop high-quality SQL Stored Procedure to empower the backend system with good performance.
  • Document technical design notes for the knowledge transfer to the Support Team.
  • Report any issues or risks that may impact the timely delivery and/or quality of the developed solutions to the Technical Architect.

Selection Criteria * Experience (2 years) working with GIT source control. * Experience (1 year) with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps. * Experience (1 year) with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server, SSIS/SSRS, SSAS, PowerBI and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC)). * Experience (1 year) with large Single Page Applications as well as designing and developing web applications with a solid understanding of HTML, CSS/SASS, JavaScript, REST and .Net MVC. * Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to complete root cause analysis to identify the cause of issues and implement solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate issues and solutions in a simple manner.
  • Relevant educational background including a Bachelor degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science and Microsoft Azure Certificate (AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator) or (AZ-204: Developing Solutions) is preferable.
