Responsibilities:
- Ensure consistently high-quality food preparation that aligns with IL POSTO's standards.
- Manage food production within budgetary requirements.
- Uphold impeccable hygiene standards and implement an approved food safety plan.
- Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of all kitchen equipment.
- Handle customer complaints with courtesy and provide excellent patron care.
- Communicate potential issues related to kitchen operations to kitchen staff and manager, including prep, ordering, stock control, and food safety.
- Adhere to proper food handling practices and safety procedures.
- Order products with authorization, ensuring the best quality for IL POSTO.
- Contribute to the creation and preparation of menu items, including intriguing specials.
- Provide assistance to kitchen staff and the manager as needed.
- Guide, train, and ensure correct documentation for new and existing staff members in accordance with IL POSTO's food, health, and safety procedures.
- Manage all aspects of the IL POSTO kitchen, including cost control, menu costing, pricing margins, staff costs, ordering, and monthly stock takes.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef/Cook.
- Compulsory qualification in Commercial Cookery.
- Experience in a high-volume commercial kitchen.
- Highly regarded kitchen management experience.
- Knowledgeable in Kitchen and Food Safety.
