Full Time Childcare Room Leader – North Geelong, VIC
Montessori Minds Childcare and Kindergarten (MONTESSORI MINDS PTY LTD) in North Geelong, is seeking a Full TimeRoom Leader with the right attitude and passion for working with children with at 4 years of relevant experience and a minimum of a Diploma qualification or equivalent Early Childhood Education and Care in substantial experience.
Salary of$70,000 - $75,000 + super for this full-time position.
As the Room Leader for Babies room and Toddlers room, you will undergo the following responsibilities and tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support in Planning and implementing educational programs that promote children's development and learning.
- Observing and documenting children's progress and interests.
- Leading, managing, and motivating appointed room staff to achieve the objectives of the Centre and support staff in their development
- Develop the Children’s Program (reflecting Early Years Learning Framework guidelines).
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for children.
- Collaborating with fellow educators and families to support each child's individual needs.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
- Maintain compliance with the OH&S Policy, ensure a safe environment is maintained for children and staff.
- Collaborate with families to understand each child's needs and interests.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Diploma or equivalent Early Childhood Education and Care
- Current Working With Children (WWC) Check.
- Current First Aid and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates.
- Have a genuine passion for Early Childhood Education and Care, with a desire to make a positive impact on young children's lives.
Experience Requirement:
- At least 4 years of experience in highly relevant role required.
- Competency in the above tasks and duties.
Essential Skills:
- Previous experience as a Room leader in a childcare setting.
- Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Demonstrated experience and a strong understanding of early childhood development and education.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- A commitment to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment for children.
