The Role

We are seeking a second Front Desk Receptionist on a full-time basis to work in our main rooms at Epworth Richmond. 

As a receptionist for 13 orthopaedic surgeons and reporting to the Practice Manager, you will be working closely with another receptionist at our Front Desk/switchboard and be our first point of contact for patients and the medical community.

• Demonstrated ability to work closely within a team and take direction from multiple sources
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, use initiative, follow-through on tasks, and communicate clearly
• Flexibility to cover annual/sick leave when required
• Complete discretion and commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality
• Demonstrated willingness to proactively help other staff
• Acceptable computer skills including the ability to problem solve
• Good spelling and grammar

Responsibilities include:

• Answering, screening, and directing telephone calls
• Greeting patients and directing them to the appropriate consulting desk
• Keeping track of staff movements in and out of office
• Mail, message, and fax distribution
• Ordering and stocking of office, medical, and kitchen supplies
• Providing administrative support as requested
• Scanning, filing, and general clerical duties
• General upkeep and tidying of common areas including kitchen duties
