Foxwood Custom Joinery is continuing to grow and we are looking for a Full Time Qualified and Experienced Cabinet Maker to come on board and work with our team in Brendale QLD.
You will be working on a wide variety of joinery projects such as Commercial Fit outs, Office Refits, Residential Projects and a wide range of shop fitting contracts, with secure commercial projects scheduled through mid-next year.
Immediate availability highly desirable
DUTIES INCLUDE
(but not limited to)
- Read and interpret construction/shop drawings
- Manufacturing of high end joinery
- Maintain an excellent presentation of self, tools & work area
- Use machinery and hand tools unsupervised and efficiently
- Working with timber veneer, solid timber, pre-finished coloured board and laminates
- Understanding the integration of steelwork, aluminium, glass, upholstery, stonework and solid surfaces within the joinery construction
- Working with our friendly team to ensure continuous improvement and to achieve group goals
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate must have;
- Experience in Cabinet Making
- Trade Qualification in Cabinet Making
- Initiative and enthusiasm are highly desired
- High quality of workmanship and attention to detail
- Ability to read and understand plans & shop drawings
- Excellent ability to prioritise tasks and work in a multitask environment
- Strong analytical and organisational skills
- Ability to work with a team at all levels of the organisation
- High competency levels in the manufacture of high quality joinery
- Understanding of specifications for projects.
- Practical knowledge of WHS
- Forklift licence is well regarded but not essential
