About the role:
Your role will be to assist our mechanics with general yard work, welding, site housekeeping and doing basic maintenance on trucks.
Main duties listed below:
● Moving equipment and vehicles around the yard as required
● Washing and detailing machines/ Greasing trucks/ Cleaning filters
● Ensuring all workshop is tidy and stock in order
● Pick up and drop off parts as required
● Assisting the mechanics
The successful applicants will :
● Mechanically minded is a must with welding experience
● The ability to work as part of a team
● A strong willingness and ability to learn and develop new skills.
● Be willing to get involved and hands on, helping the team with whatever is
required
● Physically fit
● Able to work Monday to Friday between 8am - 6pm and the occasional weekend
Experience:
● Experience with hand and power tools/welding is essential
● Trade Assistant experience, Mechanical Trade assistant or a related industry is preferred
● Experience working with heavy mechanical parts or machinery is an advantage
● Experience as a Yard Hand managing floor stock machines/vehicles
● HR Australian Drivers licence is essential
