Full Stack Developer (.Net / Xamarin) | 8 months contract with possible extension | Queensland State Government |
Commencement Date : 08/04/2024 to 07/12/2024 (with possible extension)
Location : Brisbane CBD, QLD
The role will be associated with all phases of the application development lifecycle, including bug fixes, production support and enhancements. The candidate may also be required to work as directed on similar projects and functions, as activities emerge throughout the term of the engagement. The members of this team are expected to perform to the highest quality standard and operate with a high level of integrity within this professional team with a focus on delivering client requirements and service excellence
Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum five years demonstrated experience in Microsoft ASP.NET (MVC & Entity Framework), software development undertaking: (SFIA, Level 5 – PROG)
- C#, Javascript, JQuery, Angular, XML, TypeScript, TSQL, Microsoft .NET 4 – 4.5.x and .Net Core
- Mobile development with Microsoft Xamarin.Forms (and/or Maui) including iOS, Android and UWP development.
- Experience making Microsoft Xamarin.Forms (and/or Maui) compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
- Azure Devops and experience with configuring CI/CD pipelines
- Devops and Gitflow concepts
- Visual Studio 2019
- Experience with mobile app monitoring via App Center and Microsoft Application Insights would be advantageous
- APIs
- Experience within Agile/Scrum, strong communication skills and ability to work and collaborate as part of a team
- Experience working in a large, dynamic ICT environment
Key Selection Criteria - Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
Candidates will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Demonstrated minimum five years recent experience in Microsoft .NET software development, recent experience in Angular web development and/or Microsoft Xamarin Forms (and/or Maui) mobile application development and configuring CI/CD pipelines in Azure Devops
- Demonstrated experience working in large government organisations with dynamic ICT environment
- Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of development, build process and testing methodology including ability to adapt to and continue work previously developed by others. Understanding and Information and Technologies Branch application of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), specifically in relation to applying it to Xamarin Forms (and/or Maui) applications
- Demonstrated high level of communication skills with the ability to engage positively across teams and with key stakeholders
