We're hiring for a dynamic Functions, Events, and Sales role. 

We are looking for you to start this fixed-term, full-time contract role as soon as possible until the end of the Winter season, 29th of September 2024

Reporting to the Buller Hospitality Manager, you can work from any one of our offices in Richmond, Mansfield or at Mount Buller and accommodation will be provided for any work related travel to Mount Buller.

As our Functions, Events and Sales Coordinator you will be responsible for:

Event Coordination:

  • Plan and execute a diverse range of events, from corporate functions to weddings, ensuring seamless logistics and impeccable guest experiences.
  • Collaborate with various departments to coordinate event setups, catering, and entertainment, ensuring events align with guest expectations and resort standards.

Sales and Client Relations:

  • Drive sales initiatives by actively promoting venue spaces and packages to potential clients, maximising revenue opportunities.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to ensure their events exceed expectations.

Hospitality Excellence:

  • Uphold the highest standards of hospitality, ensuring all guests receive personalised attention and service throughout their events.
  • Collaborate with the hospitality team to continually enhance service offerings and guest satisfaction.

Marketing Collaboration:

  •  Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, showcasing Mt Buller as the ultimate destination for functions and events.
  • Leverage social media and other channels to increase visibility and attract a diverse range of events.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining the quality of service.
  • Implement cost-effective strategies without compromising guest satisfaction.

About You:

  • Proven experience in functions, events, or sales roles within the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with the hospitality landscape and trends.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
