About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Functions Manager to lead and coordinate events at our venue near Beaufort, Victoria. This role offers a unique opportunity to bring guests' visions to life, creating memorable experiences in a picturesque setting. Position Description
- Oversee and manage event and group stay operations, including sales, marketing, and service delivery
- Provide warm and friendly hospitality, ensuring food, beverage, and accommodation services are top-notch
- Recruit, train, and lead the event team to ensure seamless execution of events
- Promote the venue and secure bookings through various communication channels
- Serve as the primary contact for guests and suppliers before, during, and after events
- Handle any issues that arise, ensuring events run smoothly
- Manage marketing and online communications, creating engaging content
Position Requirements
- Proven experience in tourism and hospitality, specifically in hotels, restaurants, or resorts
- Strong customer relationship skills and attention to detail
- Tertiary qualifications in event, hospitality, or tourism preferred
- RSA, WWCC, and Food Handling Certificate
- Ability to work on weekends and, if necessary, stay overnight on-site (accommodation and meals provided)
- Mobile phone allowance, laptop, and uniform provided
