- $70,000 - $75,000 per annum plus 11% super

We are seeking a full time Functions Manager join our team at the Ivory Waterside. This role includes taking functions enquiries from customers and following them through to the date of the event. The regular roster is filled out with some Duty Manager and service shifts, working around the needs of current enquiries and events.
The Functions Manager will be a versatile person who is friendly and organised and will manage our functions from enquiry to execution.
Responsibilities include:
- Build and develop relationships with regular and repeat customers
- Receive all enquiries for function, event and group booking requirements
- Meet with customers to understand expectations
- Provide relevant and required function information well in advance
- Regular review of function packages to ensure profitability and market relevance
- Greet function guests and supervise service provision
About the role:
You'll handle incoming enquiries for functions and events, passing this information to the kitchen so they can stay organised. Ensure room sets are complete to standard and help set them. Check customer requirements such as menus and drink selections have been made and prepare them from templates provided. Coordinate with suppliers for decorations and liaise with customers on their needs. You'll also provide some supervision to the food service team, training them on functions service and work alongside them to provide friendly service to our customers.
Who are we looking for?
We're looking for an experienced Functions Manager with a prior track record in converting enquiries to bookings. If you have 2-3 years experience in food service, preferably with some supervisory skills, have helped with group bookings and worked in functions at their previous employment you are also encouraged to apply.
