Based in Adelaide, as our invaluable Fundraising Manager, you will lead on strategy, planning, execution and measurement across several fundraising domains. As a not-for-profit organisation, with registered charity status, fundraising revenue allows us to go above and beyond in our staffing, services and offerings to older South Australians.
The Fundraising Manager will develop the overall fundraising strategy for our bequests and major gifts program with accountability for building our capacity and income, and best practice donor engagement.
You’ll also make an impact by:
- Developing and implementing fundraising strategies with a focus on bequests and major gifts.
- Identifying and securing new donors for bequests and major gifts.
- Developing and delivering a communications strategy that keeps all donor cohorts informed on charitable activities.
- Coordinating and delivering regular fundraising campaigns including staff giving program and Dementia Scholarship.
- Providing regular reports on revenue and expenditure.
- Recording and tracking all activities associated with fundraising to ensure we are compliant with relevant legislation and the organisation’s code of conduct.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- 2-3 years experience in fundraising, a focus on major gifts and/or bequests is desirable.
- Experience in managing timely and relevant donor communication programs utilising various channels.
- Exceptional relationship management skills with experience fostering relationships and a track record of success in asking for donations and achieving fundraising KPIs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise, or negotiate, multiple projects and deadlines to a high standard of accuracy and consistency.
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft suite and in establishing or managing fundraising related databases.
- High level written and verbal communication skills including experience working with a broad range of audiences.
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance or be willing to obtain one.
- Tertiary qualifications in fundraising, communications or marketing or equivalent industry experience specialising in fundraising and major gifts.
- Experience in fundraising management in a not-for-profit environment, particularly in the medical, hospital, health, not-for-profit or education sector.
