SalaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an Officer to join a global reputable bank within their FX & Derivative Operations team.
The Officer will be responsible for assisting with daily settlement operations for all FX and Derivatives transactions and to provide vital support to the numerous front offices and to corporate counterparties, including ad-hoc duties.
To be successful in this role you will have previous experience working in a similar or back office operations role ideally within a commercial/insitutional bank - exposure to treasury operations, confirmation and settlement process, and/or trade finance is advantageous.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Process FX and Derivatives transactions, including confirmation, positioning, and settlement
- Immediately investigate any discrepancies and conduct enquiries regarding unresolved items
- Review and investigate Nostro Reconciliations
- Prepare irregularity reporting & investigate non receipt, delays, and different amounts
- Comply with statutory, regulatory and H.O compliance requirements such as AUSTRAC (AML/CTF requirements), AusPayNet and RBA
Essential criteria:
- Minimum 1-2+ years' experience in the commercial/institutional banking industry
- Previous exposure to treasury products, FX transactions, or custody
- Understanding of confirmation and settlement processes
- Payment system knowledge suing SWIFT
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Teritary qualified
