We are opening a new gallery and are seeking enthusiastic part time Gallery Sales Assistants to join our team at our newest space in the heart of Sorrento’s Ocean Beach Road.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Immerse yourself in the rich heritage and vibrant culture associated with Aboriginal art as a Gallery Sales Assistant.
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable individual to join our team and contribute to the promotion and appreciation of Aboriginal art.
As a Gallery Sales Assistant you will report to the General Manager and Director. Your responsibilities would include:
Opening and closing the gallery
Meet and greet customers that attend the gallery
Achieve sales targets and establish/maintain longstanding relationships with clients
Maintaining / updating inventory system
Curating bespoke offers for clients and executing via email / phone
Follow up enquiries / pursuing sales leads via phone and email
Maintain Gallery presentation
Hang artworks in the gallery space
Wrap / package artworks for delivery
Process sales and assist with other operational needs
Create a memorable experience for clients through your passion for Indigenous art
The Gallery will operate five to seven days per week (will change seasonally), you will be required to work weekends regularly as part of the role

ABOUT YOU
Experience in sales
Exceptional customer service skills
Strong sales acumen
Capacity to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
Strong communication skills and ability to establish long-term client relationships
Passion for Indigenous art
Excellent computer skills
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite desirable, but not essential
Knowledge of art is desirable, however not essential
