Gas Drainage Operator (Oaky Creek)

PIMS Group is a leading company in the mining industry, committed to excellence, safety, and sustainability. As part of our growth and commitment to innovation, we are seeking experienced Gas Installation Operators to join our team at Oaky Creek.

As a Gas Install Operator at Oaky Creek, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and relocation of the Mine Gas Reticulation Network and associated infrastructure. You will also be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and reclamation of Gas Well infrastructures. Successful candidates will demonstrate expertise in surface civil equipment operation, a commitment to safety, and the ability to contribute to our continuous improvement and productivity programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance, and relocation of Mine Gas Reticulation Network and associated infrastructure.
• Installation, commissioning, and reclamation of Gas Well infrastructures.
• Ability to Poly Weld;
• Operation of surface civil equipment such as Back Hoe, 2t Trucks, 10t Trucks, Telehandlers, and Skid Steer.
• Drive and promote a strong safety culture within the team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and enhance productivity programs.
• Collaborate effectively in a team environment and work autonomously when required.

Skills and Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Surface Civil Equipment Operation;
• Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical (Preferred, not essential); 
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to promote a safety-first culture;
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills;
• Ability to work autonomously and contribute effectively in a collaborative team environment.
