About the role 

We have a contract position vacant for immediate start at one of South Australia’s most prominent retail supermarket distribution centres located in the northern suburbs of Adelaide. 

Weslo Staff is seeking a highly skilled Security Officer with experience in gatehouse logistics / data entry to manage the ingress and egress of the site logistics while observing and reporting on all relevant Security, Transport, Personnel access and Property related matters.

• Provide a security service in line with the site operating procedures and client requirements.
• Deliver the highest level of customer service 
• Screening visitors and employees, issuing keys/cards to authorized contractors and monitoring their activities for safety and compliance.
• Ensure deliveries are given scheduled access in a timely manner.
• Report writing, competent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Monitor and use CCTV site/task relevant system
• Site induction verification and visitor pass allocation
• Liaise with site management via telephone for access and delivery matters 
• Ability to work fast paced and under pressure
• Punctual and reliable attendance

Monday to Friday afternoon shift work. Minimum 30 hours (additional hours in other services can be provided e.g. Event work)

You will have, as a minimum requirement:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good computer knowledge
• Excellent conflict resolution and customer service skills
• The ability and confidence to work on your own or as part of a team
• Flexible with shift work patterns when required

To be successful in this position, you must hold:

• A current South Australian Security Licence.
• An open South Australian Drivers Licence.
• A current Police Clearance Certificate.
