The Position:This is an incredible opportunity to work as a full time (40 hours per week), General Medicine Registrar/PHO on a 12 month fixed-term contract, extension available.RACP Accredited Hospital for Advanced Training in General Medicine .The Location:Located in Central Queensland, this location enjoys a tropical climate with warm to hot temperatures throughout the year. The facility provides public health services across Central Queensland to a growing population of approximately 250,000 people and employ more than 3,700 staff, treating more than 700,000 patients each year.To reflect the growing demand for health care in the region, the hospital has been redeveloped, and now boasts state of the art medical equipment.The hospital provides specialist services that include emergency, general medicine, general surgery, gastroenterology, gynaecology, cardiology, mental health, maternity, medical oncology, paediatrics, palliative care, orthopaedics, rheumatology, occupational therapy, social work, urology and many other specialty areas.Eligibility (at least one of the below):1. General, Provisional or limited registration with AHPRA or eligible to obtain2. IMG’s completing UK Foundation Programme3. IMG’s that have completed at least the AMC MCQ (part 1) or completed both AMC 1 & 2 (clinical exam)4. IMG’s eligible via the Competent Authority Pathway (training in the UK, USA, NZ, Canada or Ireland)5.
