Join a dynamic, well established, ASX-listed, national manufacturing and distribution business as General Counsel. This is a sole legal role reporting to the CFO.

Capral is Australia’s largest extruder and a leading distributor of aluminium products. With around 1,100 employees spread across the nation in manufacturing plants, distribution centres, and offices, we offer variety and workplace flexibility.
Key Tasks
- Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including sales and purchase agreements, IT contracts, IP Licences, and finance agreements.
- Reviewing and negotiating commercial property leases.
- Providing support on strategic M & A initiatives.
- Managing commercial litigation.
- Regulatory advice and support in implementing compliance initiatives.
- Company secretarial and corporate governance support.
- Other tasks within the scope of the position.
Essential Criteria
The successful applicant should possess the following:
- Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience in corporate/ commercial work gained in a similar in-house role.
- Proven ability to partner with the business.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, decision making and negotiation skills.
- This position is part time but will require the incumbent to sometimes work outside of the normal scope of hours and to travel as and when required by the business.
