The Role

As a Counsellor you will work with individuals, couples and families affected by problem gambling. Providing one on one or group sessions you will offer a supportive environment to talk about the impact that gambling has on their lives as well as strategies to learn new ways in managing the behaviour. This is a permanent part time position, 3 days a week operating out of our Perth CBD Office. Working 9am to 5pm two days a week and 12pm to 8pm one evening a week. 

Selection Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work or other related disciplines. 
  • Demonstrated experience in intake and assessment.  
  • Knowledge and experience in brief intervention counselling.
  • Knowledge and experience in treatments of addiction.
  • The ability to work autonomously with strong professional boundaries.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to network, negotiate and liaise with external agencies.
  • National Police Clearance.
  • Possession of a current drivers license and own vehicle.
