Our City Parks team is looking for a self-motivated, hardworking and experienced individual to fill the position of General Hand - Nursery, on a permanent part-time basis. At CoM we strive to embrace change as our norm and therefore require a person who is innovative, agile, proactive and enthusiastic.
As the General Hand – Nursery, you will:
Coordinate with the City Parks Assets Supervisor in the running and day to day management of the City’s nursery
Carry out all daily maintenance, propagation and quality control of the City’s nursery in a safe and efficient manner.
Undertake assessment of street tree requests and assist in maintaining the City’s street tree inventory asset data.
Provide a high level of customer service to City of Mandurah employees, suppliers, customers, general public and contractors.
Ensure Occupational Safety and Health requirements are observed and adhered to.
Coordinate, control and receive external nursery deliveries
What can you bring to the team?
Trade Certificate in Horticulture or Propagation or a Certificate IV in Horticulture
Two years of horticultural and/or nursery experience
Current unrestricted MR class national driver’s licence (desirable)

This permanent part-time OSE Level 3 position attracts a pro-rata salary range of $62,392 - $64,713 gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
