Generator Commissioning / Network Connections.This key appointment will be pivotal in the practice, providing client interface, generator monitoring and analysis through to the commissioning and delivery direction for projects that form the body of work for the organisation. Reporting to the Director, the Principal Engineer is responsible for applying technical expertise, governance for the delivery of large electricity high voltage transmission system developments. The role also requires detailed knowledge, understanding and application of utility requirements to provide cost effective fit for purpose project solutions and performance.Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Engineering degree with a power system and/or power electronics focus.
- Strong knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles, generator protection, SCADA, and experience in generation, transmission.
- Power Systems (Solar Inverter/Wind Turbine/Gas Turbine Models) - Generator Commissioning
- National Electricity Rules (NER)
- Generator Performance standards (GPS)
- Battery Energy Storage System
- PSS/E and PSCAD/EMTDC
- R1 and R2 modelling
- Managing 100MW + projects.
