The Board Sorter is responsible for sorting and organizing wooden boards for the repair and assembly of pallets.
This role ensures that boards are inspected for quality, sorted according to size and condition, and properly stored or directed to the next stage in the repair process.
Responsibilities:
- Perform physically demanding tasks related to manual labour.
- Inspect boards for defects, damage, and overall quality.
- Sort boards based on size, condition, and usability
- Operate a forklift to transport materials within the facility.
- Operate machinery used in the board sorting and pallet repair processes.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the workplace.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry boards and pallets (up to 20kg)
- Valid Forklift license with a proven record of accomplishment of safe operation.
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Reliable and punctual with excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol screen
