AddressHANDYMAN/ BUILDER – GULF AND CLONCURRY
BDS Mechanical has an exciting opportunity available for a handyman/builder to join our team. This is a 3-6 month or full-time position for the right person where you will travel between BDS sites in the Gulf and Cloncurry doing repairs.

BDS Mechanical Repairs is a growing business that offers mechanical, auto electrical and welding repairs both in house and onsite with 22 fixed workshop locations throughout Queensland. We have over 160 field service units and the team at BDS cover over 600,000 km2 of Queensland and parts of Western Australia, meaning we’re never too far away.
A successful candidate will possess the following:
- Experience in general repairs and maintenance such as painting, wall and sealing repairs, fixing light bulbs
- Have a positive, can-do attitude
- Willing to travel amongst BDS sites
- Pay close attention to detail
- Must have an open drivers license
- Own vehicle preferred but open to options
- Must have own tools
Your duties will include but not limited to:
- Doing general repairs at BDS sites
- Replacing fibro sheets
- Wall and sealing repairs in accommodation
- Wall and sealing repairs in dongas
