The role:
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for the profitable operation of all facets of the centre (Allied Health, gym and café), including leading a high performing and engaged team, delivering exceptional client/member service and satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with legislation and professional requirements.
You will have a pivotal role in meeting growth targets for all aspects of the Gateway Life Allied Health Centre and Gym. You will be instrumental in building the Gateway Life brand, establishing referral pathways, expanding our Allied Health service provision into new disciplines, and establishing in-home health and wellbeing programs.
As a crucial member of the Community Gateway Leadership Team, you will contribute to the successful operation of the organisation as a whole.
Key Responsibilities:
- Profitable operation and growth of Gateway Life (Allied Health, gym, and café).
- Leadership of a high-performing, cross-functional team.
- Delivering outstanding outcomes for clients and members.
- Building referral pathways and a strong network.
- Growing Allied Health service provision into new disciplines.

- Compliance with legislation and professional requirements.
Essential:
- Demonstrated ability to grow a business - experience in business development, sales and marketing and/or customer experience.
- Experience in developing and achieving financial budgets.
- Proven track record in developing and leading high-performing teams.
- Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to achieving health outcomes for clients and members.
- Problem-solving skills and a 'can-do' attitude.
- Superior written and oral communication skills.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in Allied Health and/or fitness sectors.
- Previous experience in the NFP sector.
The successful applicant will need (or be willing to obtain):
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current NDIS worker screening check.

Gateway Life is an innovative health and fitness centre, combining a multidisciplinary Allied Health clinic with a state-of-the-art gym specially designed for over 50s and those with chronic health issues.
Our Allied Health clinic has 10 consulting rooms and currently offers physiotherapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology and dietetics. Our gym is the only one of its kind in the Illawarra – offering Technogym Biocircuit, the next generation of adaptive strength training.
The centre also has a café, providing healthy and nutritious food and a place to connect.
