What we are looking for
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, as the General Manager / Urban Development Lead you will provide leadership to Premise Brisbane Office. You will drive a high-performing culture and ensure the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of projects that are consistent with Premise organisational values and meet client expectations.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, review, and maintain a comprehensive Brisbane Office Business Plan encompassing Business Development and Marketing Sub-plans, enhancing systems and processes for efficient business operations embedded in industry best practices and professional integrity.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, adhering to internal and external standards and procedures, while effectively coordinating and managing project resources and activities including invoicing and forecasting.
  • Conduct assessment of the financial performance of the Brisbane office including assessment of debtors, WIP, write ups/downs and assist where required in the preparation of Fee Proposals including negotiation and management of contracts with clients.
  • Collaborate with other Leads to ensure sharing of information and consistency in the development, planning and delivery of strategic and operational goals.
  • Oversee and ensure the completion of all monthly reporting requirements including updates in Synergy, progress reporting and monthly reporting to the Chief Operations Officer.
  • Conduct workplace planning to identify future resourcing needs and liaise with Human Resources to facilitate requirements.
  • Assess and develop the technical capability of the group to ensure timely responses to market, coaching, and mentoring to adapt to technological changes and drive innovation.
You will be
We are looking for a proven leader with experience as a Senior Project Manager or Senior Engineer with personal qualities of integrity, credibility and resourcefulness.

You will possess comprehensive knowledge of systems and procedures relating to the roles within the office, including practical knowledge of principles and methods, and display commitment to corporate vision, mission and values.

You will use your excellent people skills and high-level commercial acumen to develop and maintain effective networks with stakeholders and motivate, inspire and lead a dynamic senior leadership team. Backed by exceptional project management skills you will have a developed ability to multi-task, prioritise work and plan workload, driving clarity and solutions to meet deadlines, achieve set objectives and guide investment in people and systems.

You will have excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, using logic to analyse and identify underlying principles, reasons or facts associated with information or data to draw conclusions.

To succeed in the role, you will also need tertiary qualifications in engineering and hold relevant memberships (i.e., RPEQ, MIEAust). Relevant management and leadership training will also be considered favourably.

A total salary package circa early to mid $200,000 per annum is on offer.
