General Nursery Hand

THE ROLE

Based on the Sunshine Coast township of Woombye, Fleming's Nurseries QLD is a wholesale production nursery specialising in fruit and ornamentals.  We offer a great working environment with a dedicated team of passionate plants people that love what they do. 

We are looking for both experienced and newcomers to horticulture, and have multiple roles available including experienced grafters and General Nursery Hands.

If you are a motivated and hardworking person that loves being in the outdoors, working with nature and enjoy working in a team environment, we have the job for you!

The successful applicants will be seeking a career, eager to learn and open to experience nursery work on any level. You will be the type of person who enjoys variety and working outside (rain, hail or shine). The role is very hands on and is fast paced so you will need to be physically fit and capable to do manual work.

Specific tasks could include (not limited to):

• Grafting
• Potting
• Stock consolidation
• Stock movement
• Tree Work
• Weed management
• Staking
• Plant care/maintenance

• Fit and able,
• Willing to work as part of a team.
• Able to work unsupervised.
• Have a strong work ethic and passionate about plants.
• Loves a challenge and reaching daily targets.
• Good communication skills.
• Take pride in what you do.
• Manual drivers' licence. 
• General interest in horticulture and learning.

Optional qualifications / licences (not a must)

• Medium or Heavy Rigid Truck Licence 
• ChemCert.
• Certificate 3 in Horticulture.
• First Aid.
• Forklift licence.
