Task/Responsibilities
You will have your own files and manage your work in a variety of matters, including
- Criminal
- Family
- Wills & Estates
- Commercial/Civil
Qualifications/Experience:
- Enthusiastic and motivated solicitor with a mature outlook on life
- Comfortable with running their own files and showing initiative.
- Ideally have 2-3 year post-admission experience;
- Supportive and empathetic communication style;
- A current Queensland Practising Certificate is advantageous
- Hold a current driver's licence;
- Experience with LEAP Legal Software and Legal Aid Queensland is ideal;
- Excellent attention to detail in both the written and spoken word;
- The proven ability to provide high-quality legal advice under strict deadlines;
- A solutions-based outlook is required for your approach to work ethic/productivity and advocacy/advice;
- Ability and working knowledge for time record/billable hours; and
- The ability to confidently appear before the Magistrates, District/Supreme, Domestic Violence and Family Courts.
