Kapunda Medical Practice is based in Kapunda in the Adelaide Northern suburbs, a modern well-presented practice over 3 sites in Kapunda and a smaller site in Eudunda, both service residents and surrounding townships. We provide comprehensive care covering all aspects of primary healthcare including family medicine, paediatrics, women’s health and aged care, skin checks and surgery, and provides obstetric services to the Kapunda Hospital.
Kapunda Medical Practice has fully equipped facilities with pathology services onsite, and is supported by an experienced team of resident GP/RGs, GP Obstetricians, GP Anaesthetists, Practice Nurses, and visiting specialists and allied health professionals. Kapunda Medical Practice is an accredited teaching practice and there is opportunity to supervise / teach registrars, interns and medical students.
Hours:
- Practice: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
- Hospital: on call emergency services
Core Duties:
As a General Practitioner, you will be required to leverage your broad medical knowledge to provide high-quality medical services to patients.
Manage the common clinical scenarios presenting to a typical rural general practice including all aspects of acute and ongoing management as well as attending to important areas of preventative medicine. Patient populations will include paediatric, adult and geriatric. Essential procedural skills also required.
Qualifications considered / Experience
- Vocational registration
- MBBS or equivalent
- General Registration with Australian GP experience minimum 2 years
- Recent emergency experience, or prepared to upskill
- Ability to gain credentials as a General Practitioner
