Central West Women’s Health Centre, Bathurst, is seeking a part-time Generalist Counsellor for a maximum 28 hours per week, with skills in Counselling, with ability to work with children and young people an advantage. The position is offered to 31 December 2024, with the possibility of extension and additional hours.

Terms and conditions in accordance with the SCHADs award negotiated on qualification and experience. Training and clinical supervision provided.
Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in Health/Social Sciences (eg. Counselling, Social Work, Psychology) or equivalent with appropriate professional membership above student level (eg. ACA, PACFA)
- Minimum three years demonstrated counselling experience working with diverse populations experiencing trauma.
- Understanding of abuse (eg. physical, emotional, mental, sexual), domestic/family violence and issues of cultural difference
- Understanding of trauma and abuse (eg. physical, emotional, mental, sexual), domestic/family violence and issues of cultural difference
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and incorporate feedback on performance
- Evidence of participation in personal therapeutic work
- Demonstrated ability to incorporate holistic approach and feminist perspective
- Proficient computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Current driver’s licence
A Working with children check number will be required and a National police check will be undertaken for preferred applicants.
