About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist an opportunity exists for a Geological Open Pit Technician to join the geology team at the Greenbushes site. This is a permanent, full-time position working a roster of 7 days on, 7 days off (12 hours per day), with the weekly blocks alternating between day and night shift. Talison will provide all the appropriate training for this role and there is scope for the right candidate to grow with the business.

The primary responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

• geological markups;
• last pattern mapping and sampling;
• ore spotting during excavation;
• liaising with drill and earthmoving contractors;
• maintaining geology stores, vehicles and equipment;
• documenting and recording of geological data;
• conducting any other activity as directed by Senior Mine Geologist; and
• providing effective handovers to other Pit Technicians.

About the Candidate

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

• a proactive, collaborative approach and commitment to safety;
• a willingness to contribute toward the success of your team while supporting a positive team culture;
• computer literacy;
• C class driver's licence;
• the legal right to live and work in Australia; and
• reside or be prepared to relocate to within 30 minutes' drive of the Greenbushes Lithium Operation.

It will be beneficial if you have:

• previous geological or Pit Technician experience;
• forklift license; or
• proficient with Microsoft Office.
